14-9-201. GENERAL VALIDITY OF SECURITY AGREEMENTS.

Except as otherwise provided by this title, the terms of a security agreement are effective against the purchasers of the collateral and against the creditors of the debtor. Nothing in this chapter is intended, however, to validate any practice illegal under any present of future tribal statute or regulation dealing with usury, small loans, retail installment or the like, nor to extend the application of any such statute or regulation to any transaction not otherwise subject to it.
