1101. DEFINITIONS.
The definitions contained in Section 201 apply to this Chapter. In addition, in this Chapter:
- "Agricultural use” means grazing, farming, or any related activity.
- “Indian lands” means all lands within the original boundaries of the Rosebud Reservation that are (a) owned by or held in trust for the Rosebud Sioux Tribe, (b) owned by or held in trust for the Tribal Land Enterprise of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe, or (c) allotment held in trust by the United States for an individual Indians, or owned by an individual Indian or Indians and subject to restriction upon alienation imposed by the United States.
- “Lessee” means the person or persons who have obtained any possessory interest in Indian lands, and the assignees and successors in interest of such person or persons. This term does not apply to a sublessee where the lessee retains an interest in the leasehold.
Grazing land: 25 per acre
Farm land: 50 per acre
