5-24-1. ROBBERY DEFINED.
Any person who intentionally takes personal property, regardless of value, in the possession of another from his person or immediate presence, and against his will, accomplished by means of force or fear, is guilty of robbery.
Robbery is a Class A crime.
It is an affirmative defense to a charge of robbery that the actor has the right to take the property pursuant to legal process or otherwise pursuant to law.
