5-37-11. Negligent abuse

Any person who negligently abuses a disabled person or elderly person in a manner which does not constitute simple assault is guilty of abuse and neglect as defined in Section 1 of this Chapter, and the penalty shall be a fine not to exceed $500.00 and sixty (60) days in jail.
