2-3-14. LEAVING RESIDENCE, NECESSARY FORCE NOT TO AFFECT RIGHT TO RELIEF.

1. The Petitioner’s right to relief under this chapter shall not be affected by Petitioner’s leaving the residence or household to avoid abuse.
2. The Petitioner’s right to relief under this Chapter shall not be affected by use of such physical force against the Respondent as is reasonably believed to be necessary to defend the Petitioner or another from imminent physical injury or abuse.
